Course Design
The DaVinci Resolve 18: Music and Audio module is a task-centered, multimodal learning product following Merrill's First Principles of Instruction. There are many learning theories and practices involved in the process, including Bloom's Taxonomy, CATML, and Gamification. The narration and video portions follow the guidelines for instructional audio outlined by Curtis Carter. Universal Design principles are active within the module, including captions, colorblind safe choices, and signaling processes. Additionally, the product was developed in phases following the SAM model. The instructional product activates learners' prior knowledge in emotional intelligence while centering projects around story, theme, and feeling. The module contains five scaffolded instructor-led videos, and at the end of the module, learners will create a rough-cut demo reel on their own.
